Men’s Club

Men’s Club bowling event.

Our Men’s Club is dedicated to providing a number of services to the synagogue and surrounding community in Louisville. It sponsors educational, religious, and family programming, along with assisting in the financial and spiritual goals of the congregation.

The KI Men’s Club is the oldest continuous synagogue men’s organization in Louisville. Among its well-loved events have been the Bowl-a-pa-louza it hosts for teams from all of Louisville’s synagogues, Pizza in the Hut during Sukkot, Chili Bingo at the end of December, and a pre-Pesach wine tasting. Dues may be paid annually. Lifetime memberships are also available.

Sisterhood

Harriet, who was one of KI’s kitchen captains and sisterhood stalwarts.

Sisterhood promotes the welfare of the Congregation, enriches the family, educational and civic life of the community, supports our religious school and assists the financial and spiritual goals of the Congregation in Louisville, KY.

The KI Sisterhood was founded as the congregation formed with the goal to contribute to the enrichment of the life of KI congregants. A priority of the Sisterhood has been the development and support of KI’s kosher kitchen. The Sisterhood annually hosts a Break the Fast and a Mother’s Day Brunch — all open to the greater community — and produces the Keneseth Israel Book of Remembrance leading up to the High Holidays each year so that we may continue to respect the past as we look forward to the future. Dues may be paid annually, or a lifetime membership is available.
